2011 Flood Threat for Terrebonne Parish

While it is still safe to travel to Louisiana and the Houma area, we would like for our travelers to be up to date with real time information concerning the Mississippi River flooding and the opening of the Morganza Spillway. Houma and its surrounding communities are located in Terrebonne Parish (county.) The western portion of Terrebonne Parish, including the communities of Gibson and Bayou Black, are expected to receive some backwater flooding due to the opening of the Morganza Spillway. As of Monday, May 16, 2011, there is no flooding in the Houma area.

Please call our office, 800-688-2732, for updated information regarding our status.
